在MathWorks官网可以购买以美元计价的MATLAB或者MATLAB and Simulink Student Suite，单独购买MATLAB的价格为29美元，若购买MATLAB and Simulink Student Suite，则可享受优惠价格——55美元。

MATLAB and Simulink Student Suite除了MATLAB软件本体，还包含了Simulink和许多工具箱，具体的列表如下：

有效期

根据MathWorks官网的FAQ, student software可以无限期使用：

For how long can I use student software?
You can use student software indefinitely. After you graduate you may need to purchase a professional license.

如果你毕业了，继续使用学生版MATLAB是不合法的(全凭自觉)。

然而，购买的MATLAB and Simulink Student Suite、附加的工具包，只有一年的“Software Maintenance Service”,一旦该维护期过期，则不能获得软件更新、技术支持、在线服务，也不能购买附加的工具包。

当然，你可以选择Renew Software Maintenance Service，rtz在上一节购买的软件与工具箱共计67美元，续费一年维护期的价格为55美元：

价格快赶上买一个新的了。所以rtz决定维护期截止之后就用旧版的软件了。
